The first days of the New York Fashion Week are always a bit rocky with a lot of young designers showcasing their work. Fortunately, even though some of them lack the maturity and the clear vision of their more experienced counterparts, there are some interesting shows, like Cynthia Rowley's.
I really liked the runway because the golden accents and mirror-like setting created a very interesting effect on the models' skin as well as on the garments, complementing the warm-toned outfits and pleasantly contrasting with the more metallic tones. Mainly built up of dresses, the show offered a nice range of shapes and color mixes. Among my favorite pieces were the look with the golden pants, the two-toned gold/white dress, the golden knitwear and the white, tailored blazer.
