Louis Vuitton SS 2014 Ad Campaign

Monday 28 April 2014

Brand: Louis Vuitton
Season: Spring/Summer 2014
Model: Jessica Hart
Location: Miami

Australian model Jessica Hart is the face of the latest Spring/Summer Louis Vuitton ad campaign shot on the beautiful beaches of Miami. The gap-toothed beauty is pictured in both bare legs and playsuits or bikinis, but also wearing the House's chic retro inspired dresses and accessories. My absolute favorite item of this collection is the blue tunic pictured above. So chic yet also a bit cheeky due to the cutouts on the sides!

Photo of the Week: Portrait in Thailand

This week's inspiration comes all the way from Thailand with this stunning black and white portrait of a woman waiting for her husband after finishing her work. Shot by Drussawin Leepaisal and submitted to National Geographic's My Shot collection, this portrait's power hides behind that piercing, uncovered eye. One gets the feeling that there's so much more to the story than just this fleeting moment caught on camera, one feels intrigued and wants to discover more about the person in the shot.

As you probably noticed before, portraits of people from around the world inspire me a lot. Do you enjoy this type of photography or are you more of a landscape fan?

Menswear Inspiration: Game of Thrones' Kit Harrington

Thursday 24 April 2014

Magazine: GQ April 2014
Model: Kit Harrington
Photographer: Paola Kudacki

Wittily called "How to dress like a tough bastard, with Kit Harrington", GQ's April issue cover shoot featured none other than one of the main characters in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Although I'm shamelessly late and only halfway through season 2, I must admit that GOT is one of my guilty pleasures and I was thrilled to see this editorial. Jon Snow is looking better than ever, channeling his inner rebel. The top 5 things you'll need to become a heart breaker are an old t-shirt, a pair of beaten-up jeans, some cool boots, a black shirt with rolled-up sleeves and of course the perfect leather jacket. Watch and be inspired!

Happy Easter!

Sunday 20 April 2014

I wish you a very Happy Easter my dears! I hope the Easter bunny brings you everything you wanted!

Photo of the Week: The Fisherman and the Surfer

Friday 18 April 2014

This week's featured photo is a very elegant, peaceful and serene landscape that I loved in an instant because of its soft pink, orange and grey tones. Captured on a beach in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka by Chris Pecorano, the photo is entitled Sportsmen and shows a local fisherman and a surfer enjoying the sunset on a popular beach by the ocean. The photo draws me in as a viewer due to the lateral position of the characters, making me feel as if I'm standing just behind them taking part in this beautiful scene.

Do you have favorite moment at the beach? Do you prefer the sunrise or the sunset over a day spent in the sun?

Festival Style: Coachella Parties 2014

Thursday 17 April 2014

Lacoste Pool Party - Jamie Chung

What would be Coachella without the fashionable pool parties? Hmm... that didn't sound right at all! It would still be an awesome music festival, but let's face it - the celebrity-filled pool parties do add to the charm of Coachella. As for the outfits, denim cut-offs, lace tops and ankle boots continue their absolute reign over festival fashion, joined this year by coordinating two-pieces, such as matching tops and skirts or shorts. Have a look at some of the parties and outfits from last week-end:

Festival Style: Coachella 2014

Wednesday 16 April 2014

Coachella season is here again and the first week-end already seems to have finished such a long time ago! Along with Glastonbury and Tomorrowland festivals, Coachella is on my festival bucket list and I can't wait to finally go there someday (hopefully soon1). For the lucky ones that will attend the festival next week-end I gathered up some of the most interesting looks from week-end 1 to get you inspired. If you do end up there, I can recommend a couple of the shows that I would love to watch: Elie Goulding, Bastille, Skrillex, Pharell, Lorde, Calvin Harris and Lana del Rey among others.

Alexander Wang x H&M

Monday 14 April 2014

The word is out: Alexander Wang is going to design the next high fashion capsule collection for H&M and the hinted release date is November 6th. The announcement was made this weekend at H&M's traditional party at Coachella - the theme this year couldn't be any clearer: "Alexander Wang x H&M"! Have a look at a few shots from the party scene and the red carpet. Quite a few celebrities were there to support the designer, such as Kate Bosworth, Fergie or Katy Perry and also Margareta van den Bosch H&M's Creative Advisor who is responsible of all these lovely and tempting collaborations.
