New York Fashion Week S 2012: BCBG Max Azria

The first day of the New York Fashion Week brought a welcomed feeling of spring and lightness that contrasted with the gloomy weather outside the Lincoln Center. There were some nice designs this first day, although nothing that blows you away.



Colorblocking and ethnic inspired patterns seemed to be the the key elements in the BCBG Max Azria show, that was composed almost entirely of dresses. From short and black with cutouts or prints to floor-length and more colorful dresses, the collection wasn't something memorable in my opinion, but it did have nice, feminine shapes and colors. I would cite amongst my favorite items the dark blue and brown jumpsuit, the green and yellow top/pants combo, the blue and khaki dress with neon yellow accents at the hems or some of the floor-length gowns.
