New York Fashion Week S 2012: Alexander Wang

The third day of the New York Fashion Week started strong and it's from now on that you really start to feel the anxieties and expectations of fashion week! There were a lot of noteworthy shows, but let's start with Alexander Wang. His runway show showed a pretty dark esthetic, bold cuts and an interesting mix of dark colors and sheer materials with the occasional splash of color.

I thought again that the runway that the runway was really interesting with the mirrors display showing off more sides of the garment. The woman Alexander Wang designs for is strong and powerful and we can distinguish among his inspiration paths the biker chick, the skier and the swimmer. My favorite pieces were the blue jumpsuit worn by Ruby Aldridge, the slightly sheer corset paired with the gray-patterned trousers, the soft grey and pink combo and the burgundy leather dress.
