Paris Fashion Week S 2012: Alexander McQueen

Monday, 10 October 2011

All eyes were on Sarah Burton in April after the masterpiece she designed for the Royal Wedding and she continues to surprise us with this collection for Alexander McQueen. While maintaining the late designer's esthetic, she stays true to herself and adds a feminine touch to her warrior-woman with soft colors and interesting patterns. Very form-fitting silhouettes, corsets, belts and impressive headpieces characterize this collection and create an aura of mystery transforming the models in surreal creatures.
Among my favorite looks are the stunning dress in the opening photo, the first golden dress with a plunging cleavage and military uniform inspired shoulders, the two pale pink blouse and skirt outfits, the red mini or the golden gown towards the end of the show.

Here is my selection of the most interesting looks from the runway:

What is your favorite outfit from this show?

si je ne me trompe pas, le sujet de cette défilé est structuré et exagéré. je les aime beaucoup, superbe robe, le meilleur blog!

I love the flowery/feathery elements to the collection. I want that first dress. Love the subtle pink colour. Thanks for sharing the runway spread and feel free to drop by me too, soon.
