I was so inspired by this photo when I saw it that I thought to myself: Why not create a photo of the week section on my blog? Every Friday from now on I'll be posting a photo that really impressed me! National Geographic had a great initiative and created a feature called National Geographic Your Shot, where amateur photographers can send their photos and they could end up being published on National Geographic's website and even in the magazine. This amazing photo is exactly one of these shots, taken by an amateur photographer and it's stunning!
Ricardo Mohr captured the eruption of the Cordon del Caulle volcano in Chile and with it a rarely seen electrical phenomenon. I hope you like my new weekly feature! Have a great Friday!
