Paris Fashion Week: Céline

The Céline show was one of my favorites on the understated sophistication side so far. The oversized coats, one of the trends of next autumn, were exquisite - lush, cosy materials and beautiful colors. I really liked the fur details on some of the coats and the fur coats themselves. They had something special, either a wider collar or some unexpected dash of color, but they were always impeccable. A really interesting touch was combining the knee-length fur coat with a smaller leather jacket on top. In the accessory department the leather doctor's bag made its comeback on this runway, but with a twist: held under the arm, not by the handle. I loved that! It gives the bag a whole new feel, it looks more dynamic. Amongst my favorite looks pieces were the fitted trousers and turtlenecks, the coats, the fur top and the white and cream leather patchwork dress.
