My series of posts about the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week ends here with an astonishing show by Valentino. We see here couture at its finest, described not through its usual approach of exaggeration and show but through elegance and simplicity. The clothes are almost surreal, they feel light as a feather and seem to float and barely touch the silhouettes they embrace. The colors used are mostly neutral, nude tones but there are also some powerful touches of color. We have stronger looking pieces, but also very delicate and fragile ones with lace embroideries, ruffles and ethereal materials. The butterfly necklaces paired with some of the gowns are exquisite and so chic! Such a beautiful show cannot be explained through words, so I'll let you have a look at some of the pieces right now:
