Harrods Disney Princess Window Displays

Monday 12 November 2012

Elie Saab - Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

Harrods is channeling the little girl under our fashionista skins with their Christmas window displays this holiday season. A team of high profile designers including Valentino, Versace, Elie Saab and Oscar de la Renta have been summoned for this task: re-imagining the iconic Disney Princess dresses. Have a look for yourselves at these sketches of Oscar de la Renta's version of Snow White, Versace's Cinderella, Marchesa's Ariel or Elie Saab's Sleeping Beauty.

Marchesa - Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

Versace - Cinderella

Escada - Jasmin (Aladdin)

Missoni - Mulan

Roberto Cavalli - Pocahontas

Jenny Packham - Rapunzel

Oscar de la Renta - Snow White

Valentino - Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

Ralph & Russo - Tiana (The Princess and the Frog)

After you've seen the sketches, have a look at the actual window displays now:

Versace - Cinderella

Missoni - Mulan

Roberto Cavalli - Pocahontas

Jenny Packham - Rapunzel

Elie Saab - Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

Oscar de la Renta - Snow White

Marchesa - Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

Valentino - Belle (The Beauty and the Beast)

Escada - Jasmin (Aladdin)

Ralph & Russo - Tiana (The Princess and the Frog)

What's your favorite designer Disney Princess? My favorites are Aurora, Belle, Jasmin and Tiana, their dresses are so light and graceful, they seem to be floating around them!
