Paris Fashion Week AW 2014: Isabel Marant

Sunday, 2 March 2014

Isabel Marant is synonymous with chic, very relaxed look and showing off legs and of course this collection did just that. The designer designs as she dresses, "I always want to do something comfortable and cozy. When the weather is like that , you never feel like being too pretty or fancy. So, you know, I just thought of khaki and shoulders - something that would make you feel self-confident and strong."

There was the classic pant and heels combo, exaggerated shoulders, quilted trousers, Peruvian-inspired knits and of course those fabulous furry spiked-heel boots. Among my favorite looks are the cream fur vest paired with a mini-skirt from the opening photo, the white trousers paired with a white top and beige fur vest, the dusty grey fur coat paired with floral print trousers, the brown trousers paired with a khaki leather jacket, the oversize sweaters and masculine coats paired with flowy mini-dresses, the oversize dark blue jacket paired with a sparkling camouflage mini-skirt, the oversize grey vest and of course the black oversize sweater paired with a black and silver mini skirt and a silver scarf. Have a look at my selection of the most interesting looks from the runway:

I really enjoyed watching this collection, there's something extremely French about it as usual. I would definitely see myself wearing most of the looks presented here. What did you think about this show?
