Travel Series: Todi

Thursday, 2 August 2012

I'm very glad that you enjoyed my first photos from Italy! As I've said yesterday, Perugia was our headquarters and after we finished visiting everything there was to see there, we started touring around the hillside towns of the region. Our first stop was in Todi, a quaint little town with traditional Umbrian burnt stone facades, yards and colorful flowers. The entrance to the city was very interestingr: the centre is on top of the hill and if you choose the scenic route to get on top you can go trekking through the forest. When you reach the top, right after you get out of the forest you see the fort and there you are!

I really enjoyed discovering this city! A small quiz for my Italian readers: what other nearby cities do you think I visited after Todi?

Wow, what a great place! I love all the alleyways and stone buildings with the shutters and flowers....something you don't see here. Oh good, there's more if you visited another city! I have no clue where you went but I can't wait to find out!

Lovely town as most Italian towns, they look similar. I dont know this town, what towns are around it, but I am sure you didnt leave Italy without visiting Siena : ) Cortona is another lovely town I would like to return. I haven't seen any Umbria towns so far : (
