Inspired by the Navajo Print

Monday, 7 May 2012

Tribal prints and designs seem to have invaded the streets since Isabel Marant's FW 2011 collection and I couldn't resist not making up an inspiration board for this trend. The old navajo or aztec prints are very cheerful and colorful, you can wear them on accessories to give a boost to a simple outfit or as a central piece of your outfit if you're not afraid of colors. Us girls surely have embraced this trend, but there are also a lot of men that feel inspired by the play of colors and the geometric figures. Have a look for yourselves and tell me what you think about it!

And here are some ideas for menswear:

Are you on board with this colorful pattern?

Love the white t shirt you are wearing, that's my favorite kind of fabric, especially in white's and greys.

I don't really like navajo, or ethnic print in general. I don't think they suit my style, but I really liked some of the items you showed us. Like the scarf in the 1st pic.

This is one trend that I'll continue to love and wear long after it's fashionable. The prints are so colorful and bold without being busy. They make a statement without taking anything away from the rest of the outfit and I love that.

Love the patterns, the colours, the angle in your pictures..

But I wonder.. (and I hope it is something you can help me with) Where can I get the orange-grey-patterned cardi? (the picture with a lot of bracelets and rings, white shirt)

Please let me know

Greetings,
